We recommend choosing a plan that aligns with your overall triathlon experience level (e.g., “Intermediate”) while ensuring you meet the specific fitness benchmarks outlined in the plan description, such as the required paces for swimming, cycling, and running.

If you are ever in doubt, feel free to use the included email support to ask a coach for guidance on selecting the perfect plan to address your unique strengths and weaknesses.

  • This specificity is designed to ensure the plan’s pacing and intensity are perfectly matched to your current abilities, leading to better results. Each plan will state the prerequisite fitness level.

    For example, our “12 Week Intermediate Olympic Distance Triathlon Plan For Advanced Swimmers” requires that you can already swim consistently faster than 1:50 per 100 meters, cycle for an hour and a half, and run for an hour.

    You should assess your current fitness against these benchmarks to select the most appropriate plan.

  • A “Brick Workout” is a training session where you complete two different disciplines back-to-back with no rest, most commonly a bike ride followed immediately by a run.

    We include these in our plans because they are crucial for race-specific preparation. They help your body adapt to the unique feeling of running on tired legs after cycling and improve your transition efficiency, which can save valuable time on race day.

  • Our Time Trial plans are differentiated by the total plan duration and the weekly time commitment. You can choose between a 6-week or an 8-week training block.

    For each duration, you can then select a plan based on the hours you can train per week, with options for “4-5 Hours Per Week,” “5-6 Hours Per Week,” or a more flexible plan for those with “Limited Time”.
